Coming from Virginia, I am very fond of beautiful vistas featuring mountains, valleys, clear rivers/streams, and trees going as far as they eye can see. Places where you can tell the season by looking at the leaves on those trees — beautiful, deep greens in the Spring/Summer, the various colors of the Fall, and the bareness in the winter. Texas doesn’t really fit that description, especially in and around Houston, but you may get a taste in Austin (a small taste). Still, from what I’ve seen, Texas is nothing like what I grew up with but this state has its own beauty.
These are a few photos I took while on a quick trip outside of Houston and I’m hoping to make photographing the smaller areas of Texas a project as well. Guess I need to get my car ready! And figure out how to spread out my vacation days… (sigh)
